The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a business meeting next week.

Two bills are on the agenda. They are:
S.1125, the Blackfeet Water Rights Settlement Act. The bill settles the water rights of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana. The committee held an oversight hearing on May 20, 2015, during which the settlement was discussed.
S.1983, the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Mission Indians Water Rights Settlement Act. The bill settles the water rights of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians in California. The deal also was discussed at the May 20 oversight hearing.

The business meeting will take place at 2:15pm in Room 216 of the Senate Hart Office Building. It will be immediately followed by an oversight hearing on the "substandard" level of care within the Indian Health Service.
