Ojibwe tribe opposes state park

A proposal to create a state park on the Upper Red Lake River in Minnesota has twice been opposed by the Red Lake Ojibwe Tribe.

Supporters of the Big Bog Park say it could bring revenue and visitors to the state. But one tribal member who spoke up at a public meeting said the lake should be left as is and that the Ojibwe people never ceded that lake.
