NOVEMBER 30, 2000 The Crow Tribal Council on Wednesday held a meeting to address growing concerns over the proposed resignation of Janine Pease Pretty On Top, president of the Little Big Horn College on the tribe's Montana reservation. Pretty on Top has been asked to leave by some members of the college's board of trustees. But she has said she will not step down and she is supported by students. Both sides of the issue met with the council and The Billings Gazette says the meeting was heated and resulted in no real agreement to the situation. The trustess are expected to meet again today and may issue a decision on Pretty on Top. Only five of 18 board members have called on her to resign.
