The Laconia, New Hampshire, school board on Tuesday unanimously voted to adopt a "Sachem" logo depicting a Penobscot Indian dressed in a robe and wearing a headdress.

The logo was accepted over protests of American Indians. They attended the board meeting and said the school wasn't honoring anyone by using the image of an Indian.
