Ariz. college hosts Indian conferences

Arizona State University is hosting two Indian conferences.

The fourth annual American Indian Studies Consortium is being held today. John Echohawk, executive director of the Native American Rights Fund, Wilma Mankiller, former principal chief of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, will give the keynote.

The 13th Annual Association of American Indian/Alaska Native Professors Conference is being held Friday and Saturday. Crow Creek Sioux author Elizabeth Cook-Lynn is the keynote.
