The Justice Department on Friday said records destroyed at the Federal Reserve Bank in Denver, Colorado, were unrelated to the ongoing billion dollar trust fund lawsuit against the federal government.

The records were apparently destroyed by accident in late 1999. But a lawyer for the plaintiffs says he is not satisfied with the government's explanation.
