The benefactor who is giving a total of $100 million to the University of North Dakota wants the school to resolve the dispute over the use of its "Fighting Sioux" nickname as soon as possible.

Ralph Engelstad wants resolution because he is building an $80 million stadium for the school and the logo of the school will be used in the arena in various locations.

But the school may choose a new logo, which was designed by a Standing Rock Sioux tribal member. The school currently has a geometric logo but uses the nickname "Fighting Sioux," which was chosen earlier this century to give the school a more competitive-sounding name.
