DOE wants task force documents secret

The Department of Energy has denied a freedom of information act request to identify the groups helping define the Bush administration's national energy policy.

The DOE said the information is "pre-decisional" and therefore not subject to the law. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) said on Thursday they are appealing the decision.
