New Mont. districts approved

THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2002 The Montana Districting and Apportionment Commission on Wednesday approved new districts for the state, including three new House districts with a majority Indian population. Two of the new districts cross the Rocky Boys Reservation and the Fort Peck Reservation. Another encompasses most of the Blackfeet Reservation. A third still under consideration would include the Flathead Reservation. The commission is headed by Janine Pease Pretty on Top. Get the Story:
