An Indian couple has big plans for the Little Big Horn Camp in Montana, including brand new developments and a museum to display the historic "Custer's Last Rally" painting.
Leonard "Sonny" Hare, a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, and his wife Jackie Yellowtail Hare, a member of the Crow Tribe, bought the camp, located on the Crow Reservation. It currently has a small motel, coin-operated laundry and RV park.
But in the next couple of years, the couple plans to add a pizza parlor, a bigger hotel, a restaurant, an auto parts store, an auto service center, a convenience store and an RV facility.
The development will cost an estimated $7.5 million.
Also in the works is a museum to house the famous "Custer" artwork. Hare is buying the 11-by-20-foot painting, which is appraised between $5.5 million to $6 million.
