Bank pays $3.9M for closed Si Tanka campus

A South Dakota bank paid $3.9 million for the closed Si Tanka University campus in Huron.

The Huron campus was forced to close in March due to financial problems. Si Tanka then declared bankruptcy, saying it owed $6.6 million worth of loans and faced a $2 million federal tax lien.

The Si Tanka campus in Eagle Butte on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation remains open. The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe chartered the school.
