Mashantucket Museum reopens observation tower

The observation tower at the museum owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut reopens on Sunday after a five-year renovation and improvement project.

The tower at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center stands 185 feet tall. It looks over the reservation, the Great Cedar Swamp and the tribe's casino.

The tribe made upgrades to the heating and cooling system and enclosed the elevator shaft in glass.
