FROM THE ARCHIVE
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2001 An environmental organization on Tuesday became the second group to sue the Bush administration over the development of its national energy policy. The Natural Resources Defense Council filed sued against the Department of Energy, seeking a number of documents used in preparation for the policy. The group says information about the development of the policy and who participated in talks has been kept from the American public. Vice President Dick Cheney chaired the national energy task force. He has refused to comply with Congressional requests to turn over a number of his documents. A conservative group called Judicial Watch has also sued the Bush administration to obtain the records.
