THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2003

The Oneida Nation of New York inspected three homes owned by tribal members, according to news accounts.

Although the homeowners oppose the inspections, there was no reports of resistance or altercations. Tribal members say they are being punished for speaking out against the Oneida leadership.

The tribe last year demolished a woman's home because it was deemed unsafe. Danielle Patterson was taken to jail for opposing an inspection.
