![]() Hey Indian Country, let's all join Jeanette Hanna, everyone's favorite deposed BIA regional director, in bidding hágoónee' (goodbye) to Paul Tsosie, the outgoing BIA chief of staff! Hanna is hosting a going-away for Tsosie this afternoon at DOI in Washington, D.C. And as everyone knows, she wouldn't be in the nation's capitol, spending precious tribal dollars, without the assistance of Tsosie and his boss and mentor, Larry Echo Hawk, the outgoing Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs. Hanna, of course, will be staying put at the BIA thanks to a new position that Tsosie and Echo Hawk created especially for her. She's now the "Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs" -- try saying that three times fast, in any language! So where is Tsosie off to? According to today's invite, he's going back to "the Motherland." Dinetah, you say? Heavens no! He's headed back to Utah, so he can be closer to Echo Hawk, a newly anointed LDS leader. And just where in Indian Country is Echo Hawk? Not at the BIA obviously. Although Friday is officially his last day in office, he already split DC and has left the agency in the very capable hands of ... Jeanette Hanna. Guess that's what being under investigation gets you! The Secret Service and the GSA have nothing on the BIA... Powered by Movable Type 3.33 Copyright © Indianz.Com |
