Voters in Hesperia, California, voted 59 percent to approve an agreement with the
Timbisha Shoshone Tribe that would pave the way for a casino.
The tribe will give the city between $6.5 million and $6.8 million annually if a casino is approved.
The tribe is based in Death Valley but says its aboriginal territory includes Hesperia.
