The state of Kansas is close to finalizing a compact with the Kickapoo Tribe and the Sac and Fox Tribe for an urban casino.
The state want a share of revenues from the urban casino and from the tribes' existing casinos. The state is expected to receive $40 million to $50 million a year.
The casino would be located near the Kansas Speedway. The project includes a hotel.
