A group calling itself the California Tribal Business Alliance is criticizing two tribes for using video lottery machines.
The group has six members, five of which recently signed new gaming compacts with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R). The tribes happen to be represented by the same lawyer, Howard Dickstein, who negotiated the agreements.
Schwarzenegger wants the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians to remove the machines. He says the tribes are violating their pledge not to offer more than 2,000 Class III devices.
