Seneca-Cayuga Tribe hit with subpoenas over casino

Leaders of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma have been subpoenaed by a New York county attorney as part of the investigation into the tribe's casino deal, The Albany Times-Union reports.

The focus of the investigation is former state attorney general Dennis Vacco. He lobbied for the tribe's casino in exchange for a portion of future revenues. Vacco's firm represented a mall developer who is backing the tribe and is now representing Empire Resorts, a gaming firm once connected to the tribe.

Seneca-Cayuga Chief Paul Spicer, one of those hit with a subpoena, declined to talk about the matter.
