The Seminole Tribe of Florida has filed a lawsuit in state court seeking to break an agreement with the developer of its highly successful Hard Rock Hotel & Casino resorts.
The tribe says the deal with a Baltimore developer is lopsided. The Cordish Company stands to make $2 billion from the casino for "doing absolutely nothing," the lawsuit alleges.
Under the deal, the tribe pays Cordish 30 percent of net gaming and non-gaming revenues over 10 years. Monthly payments of $18 million are being made.
The tribe went into business with Cordish after dropping Donald Trump, who has filed a lawsuit alleging interference because a former associate later went to work for Cordish.
