The Rhode Island House delayed a vote on the Narragansett Tribe's casino bill.
The bill was approved by a House committee on Tuesday. It asks voters to amend the state constitution to allow the tribe and partner Harrah's Entertainment to open a casino in the town of West Warwick.
The House was set to vote today but will instead vote on Thursday. The delay gave Donald Trump's organization a chance to argue for a competitive bidding process for a casino.
Trump lobbyist Joseph Fusco said Trump will give a share of revenues to the tribe if the state ends up going with a non-tribal casino.
