Oklahoma tribes meet for gaming conference

printer friendly
More than 2,000 people are attending for the annual Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association trade show and conference.

The event is one of the five largest gaming trade shows in the nation, said an executive for a gaming firm. It has a $2 million impact on the Oklahoma City economy, according to Brian Foster, the chairman of OIGA.

During the conference at the Cox Convention Center, tribes are meeting with the National Indian Gaming Commission for one-on-one discussions. Tribes and the industry expect to move towards the Class III market because the NIGC is drafting rules to limit Class II games.
