The Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate has negotiated a new Class III gaming compact with the state of South Dakota.
The compact authorizes up to 750 slot machines at its two casinos. The current agreement only allows 250 machines.
The compact also allows higher betting limits. In exchange, the tribe will share revenues with two counties.
The South Dakota Commission on Gaming is holding two hearings on Wednesday to discuss the compact.
