The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is preparing to submit its application for a commercial casino in Iowa.

Ho-Chunk Inc, the tribe's economic development corporation, plans to build a $110 million casino in downtown Sioux City. The application to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission is due Monday.

HCI commissioned a poll to gauge support for the proposed Warrior Hotel Casino & Hotel. The results will be included in the application.

"We have a lot of community support through letters ... We thought that adding a little more wouldn't hurt," CEO Lance Morgan told The Sioux City Journal.
