The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and the Mohegan Tribe are set to increase police presence at their casinos.

The tribes have been beefing up their police departments in recent months. Tribal officers will take on greater roles because Connecticut State Police troopers are cutting back service on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Pequots will have about 25 officers on staff. The Mohegans will have more than 20.
