Chumash Tribe wins license for expanded casino liquor sales

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians won approval for expanded liquor sales at its casino.

The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control approved the license on Wednesday. It allows the tribe to sell liquor in more areas at the Chumash Casino Hotel and Resort except on the gaming floor and during certain events in the showroom.

Appeals are likely, an attorney for the tribe said.
