Saginaw Chippewa Tribe announces casino expansion plan

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan announced plans to expand the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino.

The 32,900 square-foot casino will grow to over 122,000 square-feet. The tribe plans to add 150 rooms and a diner, to the facility

"The time has come to make the changes necessary to ensure we have continued growth and development within the Saganing area," council member Ron Nelson said in a press release.

The tribe expects to break ground in April or May. The expansion will be completed in spring of 2014.

The casino opened on New Year's Eve 2007.
