Florida Legislature signs contract for study of gaming industry

The Florida Legislature signed a contract with the Spectrum Gaming Group to study the gaming industry in Florida.

The contract is worth nearly $400,000, the Associated Press reported. The study will include the Seminole Tribe, whose Class III gaming compact includes revenue sharing provisions that expire in 2015.

The study is to be completed by October 1.
