Rancheria of California is using $400,000 in Indian
Reservation Roads funding for casino-related projects.
The tribe will use $200,000 to repave a road and $150,000 to pay for engineering and environmental studies for a bridge upgrade project. The road and the bridge bring customers to the River Rock Casino.
Finally, $50,000 will be used for an engineering study on sidewalks on the road that's being repaved.
"It's an an opportunity to share a grant the tribe receives with the county," Chairman Harvey Hopkins told The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.
