The California State Auditor released a report into the Indian Gaming Special Distribution Fund.

Tribes that signed Class III gaming compacts in 1999 share a portion of their revenues with the state. The money is distributed to communities affected by casinos.

But some communities aren't properly documenting how the money is distributed, according to the report. Of 12 grants reviewed, seven lacked sufficient documention, the audit stated.
