The Alturas Rancheria of California has ousted a council member who reportedly attempted a takeover of the tribe's casino.

The tribe said Wendy Del Rosa and two employees removed all the cash from the Desert Rose Casino. The facility closed for a few hours but was reopened after the tribe's general council gained control.

The tribe has fewer than 20 members, according to news reports.
