Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe co-sponsors kids camp
Tuesday, July 11, 2006

The Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe and the town of Aquinnah are teaming up to offer a kids camp this summer.

In the past, the tribe and the town each offered their own camps. But with the town facing financial pressures, they decided to merge for the six-week Turtle Project.

Kids will start the day on the reservation and spend the afternoon at the town. Officials hope the camp will foster tribal-town relations.
