NMAI in New York to open new exhibition space

The National Museum of the American Indian in New York is opening a new exhibition and performance space on September 23.
The 6,000-square-foot Diker Pavilion for Native Arts and Cultures is located in the basement of the museum's building. It was previously used as a storeroom but will now have space for exhibits and enough room for dances and performances.
The $5 million renovation was financed by the Smithsonian, New York City and by private donors, The New York Times reported.
