Navajo Nation hosts indigenous uranium summit

The Navajo Nation is hosting the Indigenous World Uranium Summit later this month in Window Rock, Arizona.
Topics include the tribe's ban on uranium mining, passed after decades of exposure to radioactive elements and waste caused numerous health problems for Navajos. Activists hope the law will block future development on the reservation.
The summit takes place November 30 through December 2.
