Upcoming Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearings
Monday, March 19, 2007

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has two hearings scheduled in the next two weeks.

On Thursday, March 22, the committee holds an oversight hearing on Indian housing. It's the first of the 110th Congress to tackle the topic.

On Thursday, March 29, the committee will consider Indian trust fund litigation. The Bush administration has offered to spend up to $7 billion to settle the Cobell case over individual Indian trust funds and more than 250 tribal trust fund lawsuits.
