Soboba Band holds election for council members

The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians of California held an election to choose two seats on the tribal council.

Incumbent Rose Salgado was re-relected to her third term. Julie Arrietta-Parcero won her first term on the council.

A total of six people ran for the seats. Incumbent Maurice "Buster" Mojado failed to get enough votes to stay on board.

The election for chairman will be held next year.
