Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe to introduce new chair

The Mashpee Wampanaog Tribe of Massachusetts is introducing its new chairman to the public today.

Shawn Hendricks spent his first full day on the job yesterday. He became chairman after his predecessor, Glenn Marshall, was ousted in disgrace.

Hendricks, 40, a father of three, said there are no skeletons in his closet. "My life is pretty open," he told The Cape Cod Times.

Hendricks and other tribal leaders might face a recall. A group of tribal members says they lack confidence in the council.
