Troubled tribal college given another deadline

D-Q University in California could be in danger of losing its land if it doesn't start functioning as an educational institution by September 27.
A letter from the
General Services Administration states that the land has to be used for "educational programs." But D-Q lost its accreditation and hasn't held classes since 2004.
If the deed for the land isn't satisfied, the GSA could take action. It's not clear, though, what might happen if the September 27 deadline isn't met.
