Native man calls daughters' deaths an accident
A man from the Yellow Quill First Nation of Saskatchewan says the deaths of his daughters was an accident, CBC News reports.

Christopher Pauchay, 24, agreed to an interview and briefly discussed the deaths of his two young daughters, Kaydance and Santana. They froze to death after they were left outside in a field on the reserve in January.

Pauchay pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death but said he shouldn't be punished for his actions. "I don't believe in punishment. Forgiveness is better than anything else. Punishment doesn't do nothing," he told CBC.

Pauchay will be sentenced next month.
