Youngest Alaska native corporation executive
The new president and chief executive officer of Bristol Bay Native Corp. is the youngest Alaska Native regional corporate executive.

Jason Metrokin, 36, is also the first "second generation" Alaska Native shareholder to lead a corporation. He was born after the 1971 cutoff year to enroll under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.

"It's the evolution process. Now, these young educated professionals are starting to run these companies and it is filling the original intent of the Native claims act," Sheri Buretta, board chair of Chugach Alaska Corp., told The Anchorage Daily News.

Thomas Mack, 39, of Aleut Corp., is the second-youngest Native executive.
