Little Shell Tribe loses state tobacco grant
The Montana Department of Health and Human Services cut a tobacco grant to the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe after an audit revealed accounting problems.

The tribe was receiving an annual $180,000 grant for tobacco prevention efforts. But the audit said the money could have been used for other purposes due to lack of controls.

The tribe "just screwed up," Chairman John Sinclair told the Associated Press.
