Iowa Tribe concerned over loss of post office on reservation

Members of the Iowa Tribe are worried about the loss of a post office on the reservation.

The post office in White Cloud, Kansas, is on the U.S. Postal Service closure list. Residents say they will lose their identity without the facility.

"If this closure happens White Cloud could be taken off the map," tribal member Timothy Rhodd said at a public meeting with the USPS, The St. Joe Channel reported.

Residents will have to drive 30 miles round trip to the nearest post office if they lose White Cloud.
