AIM co-founder discusses US treatment of American Indians

American Indian Movement co-founder Clyde Bellecourt discussed the treatment of American Indians by the U.S. at a speech in Spokane, Washington.
Bellecourt said the military's use of "Geronimo" as a code name for Osama bin Laden was indicative of attitudes towards Indian people. ”They compared the world’s worst terrorist to one of the greatest chiefs in the world,” he said, The Spokesman-Review reported.
Bellecourt, along with tribal leaders, called on President Barack Obama to apologize for the use of the name.
