BIA approves land-into-trust application for Montana tribe





The Bureau of Indian Affairs has approved a land-into-trust application for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Montana.

The 8.3-acre site is in Lincoln County, A local official said it's about 90 miles from the northwestern border of the reservation.

“I don’t know what they’re up to,” Troy Commissioner Ron Downey told The Libby Western News.
