The Osage Nation of Oklahoma held an inauguration ceremony on Wednesday.

Geoffrey Standing Bear took the oath of office as principal chief and Raymond Red Corn was sworn in as assistant chief. Both were elected last month.

"We will be diligent in our awareness and our service to the Osage people," said Standing Bear, an attorney, Bartlesville Radio reported.

The tribe also swore in its minerals council on Tuesday.
