The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development is headed to New Mexico for its next major event.

The regional Reservation Economic Summit will take place November 16-19 at the Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino at Pojoaque Pueblo. The event features a trade show, a procurement expo, an art market and other opportunities for businesses in Indian Country.

"For the past three years, NCAIED’s regional Reservation Economic Summits have successively brought together tribal leaders, tribal enterprises, corporations and a host of federal agencies to expand business opportunities for Tribes and Native American business owners,” NCAIED President and CEO Gary Davis said in a press release. "We are looking forward to building on this success in New Mexico in what we expect to be the largest American Indian-specific economic development conference to come to the state. We hope Indian Country joins us as we continue what has become a can’t-miss business event."

The event also will see the start of a new partnership with the United National Indian Tribal Youth. As part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES), the organizations will expose young Native Americans to the business world.

“It makes perfect sense for UNITY to collaborate with the National Center on this endeavor, to support our youth and their entrepreneurial visions,” Mary Kim Titla, the executive director for UNITY, said in a press release. “As UNITY enters its 40th anniversary of providing youth leadership development and the National Center creating significant economic development opportunities and support in Indian country for over 40 years, we have the right mix of experience and expertise to be of great resource for and contribute to the future success of Native businesses.”

YES will be open to all Native youth free of charge. Participants can sign up on NCAIED's website.

NCAIED's last major event was the Reservation Economic Summit DC in the nation's capital in June. The organization also hosts a national RES meeting -- this year's took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, in March.
