Appeals court to rehear Wash. tribe's treaty case

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals agreed to rehear the Skokomish Tribe's treaty case.
In June 2003, a three-judge panel of the court dismissed the tribe's $6 billion claim against the city of Tacoma. The tribe claims its treaty rights were violated by the construction of two dams that impede fish runs.
That decision was 2-1. A full panel of 11 judges will rehear the case.
