A Canadian Indian has been identified as the victim of a homicide in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Terrance J. Stonechild, 49, died of head injuries, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. He was a recent resident of Anishinabe Wakiagun, a center for those recovering from alcohol addictions.

Charges are pending against two suspects for Stonechild's death.
