Tulalip Tribes hope to turn manure into power
Monday, September 22, 2003

The Tulalip Tribes of Washington want to put cow manure to good use.

The tribes are proposing to build a methane plant that would convert the manure into electricity. Its' an attractive idea because it will help keep rivers and streams clean for salmon and it will benefit the local farming/dairy industry.

Plus, turning manure into methane gets rid of the stink.
