Kickapoo Tribe opening child care, health centers

The Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma has broken ground on a child-care center and is opening a fitness center.

The $1 million child-care center, which will be open to all, was financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and $250,000 from the tribe. It is scheduled to open in July.

The tribe's All Nations Fitness Center will open in December. The $350,000 facility will will include exercise equipment and offer a schedule of fitness classes.
